About the Author

As an intercessor and prayer leader, Barbara has served in different leadership roles in Aglow International and Generals International.  For 28 years she has had “boots on the ground” with the Capitol Hill Prayer Partners in Washington, DC, as a governmental intercessor.

Barbara’s personal calling to impart truth that liberates and empowers has taken her on assignments as far away as the bush country of central Ghana. Her book, “Praying with Authority and Power,” was first published in 2004, and again in 2006. This version is available in Spanish. The current version, published in 2020, has been revised and updated.

Her book, “The Overcomer’s Handbook of Kingdom Proclamations,” was published in 2018.

Her most recent book, “Overcoming Grief – My Journey Back to Wholeness,” was published in December 2021.  All of Barbara’s books are available through Amazon.

Her own ministry, Kingdom Rising Ministries, was incorporated as a non-profit organization in January 2011. Barbara, recently widowed, still lives in the house she and her husband, Jim, designed and built in the Washington, DC area 36 years ago. Since her 3 children and 6 grandchildren reside in Colorado and California, she stays in touch with them via zoom and texting.
